I've searched the forums for summer event(s) and summer festival(s), and nothing came up, so here goes....

The last festival we had was Celestial Day, back in February. The next one we are certain to have is the arrival of Mad King Thorn, in November. The only other festival we have is Wintersday, in December. Festivals are great, as they bring players together and give us special things to do. So why are the festivals bunched-up in the space of a few months?

I request a festival for the summer. An event covering all 3 continents (so everyone can participate), maybe a barbecue in the major cities, with something like the celestial chefs that were present at Celestial Day. Also, some npc's that swap collectables for alcohol, sweets, fireworks etc.

It's summertime...it's meant for partying.....

Why dont you arrange your own thing! Post a thread advertising a get together and get as many people as you can to join in.

I cant see Anet adding another festival, as we have so many now.

not to busrt you're bubble here but there is the Dragon Festival, we had it last summer and the offical wiki site asys there may be one this summer and in the last Gaile talk she said this was possible.

Love the idea, it's always such a shame to have the spirit and festivites in the major holidays (Halloween, Wintersday, CNY) all bunched up and have to wait a year to attend them again.

And I think he meant a Sumemr Festival in the same manner that there is a Wintersday Festival; the GW calender has four seasons spread over 360 days, so right now it would be the tyrian summer.
